Tick Tock

Ok, so it's one day to go until I hand the letter in that effectively seals the deal.........

Got to admit to being more than a little nervous.  What if I don't find anything afterwards.  I've got plans but what if they fall through?  There are some things that are in my control and others that are not, it doesn't stop me worrying about them though.  At the same time, you have to trust in yourself and other people it otherwise you'll never do anything.  It is time to move on, moving on without being sure that there's a safety net is a little scary.  Anyone who has ever done a bungee jump, skydive or something of that nature will probably be familiar with this feeling........ You're on the edge, ready to jump and you know you're putting your life in the hands of a piece if elastic/ fabric, the person who attached/ packed it.  But then again, as the place where I did my bungee jump said "Why live on the edge when you can jump off!"

Introduction

Ok, so I've never blogged before so this may career wildly from crazy ramblings to mundane comments to informative, insightful, highly educational comments.  (OK, so less of the last one than the others but.......).  I've typically been very negative about people who blog being too boring to justify doing it but hopefully I can entertain anyone who cares to look at this from time to time.

So here's the deal, I'm about to pack things in, load up a bag and take off into South America and Southern Africa for just over two months.  I'm planning on keeping this as a running journal and I'll be posting photos as well.  I'll be putting a load more pictures on my Google+ account and maybe Flickr as well.  

Departure date is October 12th and is coming up fast.  Right now I'm going to practice posting some things and see how it goes.
